Charity Walk for Sepsis

Bury to Clare Sponsored Walk

On the 24th June 2023, we will be embarking on a 19-mile journey from Bury St Edmunds to Clare, to raise money for our Charity of the Year – The UK Sepsis Trust and Pam Driscoll.

Sepsis is the immune system’s overreaction to an infection or injury. Normally our immune systems would fight infections – but sometimes, for reasons unknown, it attacks our body’s organs and tissues. If not treated immediately, sepsis can result in organ failure and death. Yet with early diagnosis, it can be treated with antibiotics.

5 people die with sepsis every hour in the UK. By raising awareness with the signs and symptoms of sepsis, we can all work together to help end preventable deaths from this condition. Please head over to The UK Sepsis Trust website to find out more about the symptoms of sepsis and to make yourself Sepsis Savvy.

We are hoping to see as many of you there as possible, to take on the adventure with us.
