Victor & Company, Design & Print For Their brand New Unique Shop!
Tucked away in the charming village of Long Melford, just a short drive from Sudbury and Bury St Edmunds, Victor & Company is anything but your typical high street shop. A carefully curated haven of curiosities and “artyfacts”, the space brings together local artisans, makers, and creators under one beautifully imagined roof.
At the heart of the business is Claire, owner of Hare Cottage Crafts, known for producing exceptional hand-poured candles and home fragrances. With Victor & Company, her vision was to create a destination, not just a shop, where craftsmanship, creativity, and character collide.
The Brief
From day one, authenticity was everything. The brand needed to feel distinctive, immersive and rich with personality, setting the tone for a retail experience that sparks curiosity before customers even step inside.
Our Solution
Our journey began with the creation of the Victor & Company logo, inspired by “Victor” the hare, a familiar and much-loved figure from Hare Cottage Crafts. This character-led approach gave us a strong visual foundation to build a cohesive and recognisable brand world.
From there, we developed a full suite of printed and physical assets to bring the space to life:
Pre-launch awareness postcard
Designed to build intrigue before opening, teasing the concept and showcasing the kinds of treasures customers could expect.Interactive shop window installation
A bespoke cut vinyl “Victor’s Head” spy hole invited passersby to peer through his monocle into a Victorian-inspired diorama, a playful, theatrical touch designed to stop people in their tracks.External and internal signage
From the striking gold vinyl fascia sign to opening hours on the door and a variety of foamex signs throughout the shop, every detail was carefully considered and aligned with the brand.
Bespoke interior features
Ornate mirrors with precision-cut vinyl were transformed into a coffee price list and a welcoming entrance feature, blending function with decorative flair.A-board signage
Designed and produced in-house, continuing the Victorian-inspired theme to draw footfall from the street.Print collateral
Business cards, loyalty cards and compliment slips were all created to reinforce the brand identity at every customer touchpoint.
