Accounts Controller
& Bookeeper
Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday (negotiable)
Salary: negotiable subject to experience
Join Our Team as an Accounts Controller and Bookkeeper
Are you a detail-oriented professional seeking an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills and make a meaningful impact?
Look no further! We are currently hiring for the position of Accounts Controller and Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. This role will be assisted by a long handover period by our current bookkeeper to facilitate her retirement.
Key responsibilities
- Sales and Purchase Ledger Management: Take charge of maintaining accurate and up-to-date records for both our sales and purchase transactions. Raising of Sales invoices through both Sage and our own internal systems.
- VAT Returns: Ensure timely and accurate preparation of VAT returns, demonstrating a strong understanding of current VAT regulations.
- General Administrative Duties: Handle various administrative duties, greeting customers, answering the telephone, contributing to the overall efficiency of our team.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our Directors to support overall financial and business efficiency.
- Credit Control: Efficient and professional Credit Control and Management
- Payroll: Manage payroll working with our Payroll provider
- Accountants: Maintain accounts to a good standard for our Accountants to work from
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as an Accounts Controller or Bookkeeper.
- Proficient in Sage software (although we are open to migrating to other platforms)
- Strong understanding of VAT regulations and experience in preparing VAT returns.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy.
