Charity of the year – Total Raised!

charity of the year 2023 total raised

We are thrilled to announce the outstanding success of our charity fundraising efforts in 2023, as we rallied together to raise an impressive £12,500 for Sepsis awareness.

Sepsis, also known as blood poisoning, poses a severe threat, with five people succumbing to it every hour in the UK. Our collective efforts aimed to combat this alarming statistic by supporting both The UK Sepsis Trust and our dear friend, Pam Driscoll, who bravely battles life-changing conditions resulting from Pneumococcal Septicaemia.

Throughout the year, our commitment to making a difference led us to take on challenges, host events, and engage in whimsical activities – all with the goal of spreading awareness about the signs and symptoms of sepsis. The funds raised will be equally divided between The UK Sepsis Trust and Pam’s ongoing medical needs.

One of our most ambitious undertakings was the Welsh Three Peaks Challenge, a daunting yet exhilarating adventure that saw us conquer three of Wales’ highest peaks. Starting our training at the beginning of the year, we ensured that our team was fit and prepared for the arduous ascent.

In addition to our mountainous endeavours, we are excited to host our very own pub quiz, where friendship and rivalry come together for a good purpose.

As we reflect on the success of our charity of the year, we express our gratitude to each and everyone of you who contributed to this remarkable achievement. Your generosity and dedication have not only raised vital funds but have also played a crucial role in raising awareness about sepsis, potentially saving lives in the process.

Thank you for being a part of this meaningful journey.
